We hope that your families are staying well. We wanted to send you something to let you know what is going on for the next two weeks. In hopes of answering some questions of what this means for your child's instructional needs as well as some housekeeping information.
We hope to be able to reschedule the zoo trip (which was cancelled for March 27th). At this time we have not been given any direction on when to plan on rescheduling. We will notify you as soon as we have more direction.
Next, we are adding many resources to our teacher websites that will help your child with skills in many different subjects. Also, we have attached to this letter as well as the website the login information for your child to get on the sites we do during the school day.
Our county is printing packets for reading and math for this time of being out of school. You will receive more information about how this packet gets to your child later.
In the meantime, your child needs to read for 15 minutes each day. And they need to write for 15 minutes a day. We will have some story starters posted to our websites.
Lastly, please check our websites for resources, logins, story starters and other information. Also, we are available to answer any questions you may have during the time your child is working on any of the skills. You can contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please email us to let us know you received this message

Websites for Students:
Art : Mrs. Darnell (our art teacher) has asked for students to continue to work through the art assignments she sent home in your packets. She would love to see what you have been working on and said you may send her pictures of your artwork if you wish to do so at email@example.com
Media/Library: Mrs. Norwood (Our librarian) has some neat resources and videos of her reading books aloud. Please check out her teacher website for details. You access her website in the same manner as you do mine...just choose her name from the options given and it will take you to her site.
